This is a large RC car, it is 1/5 scale.  The engine is an HPI Fuelie 26, air cooled, 2 stroke gasoline engine with a pull starter and providers 10% more power than the earlier model.  This engine, the 8000 RPM clutch, and the high flow muffler will give you faster acceleration and greater top speeds.

The HPI  Baja 5B 2.0 RTR is extremely durable.  It is made with a monocoque, 6061 aircraft quality aluminum chassis.  It uses a long travel suspension system with oil filled shock absorbers and strong suspension arms to not only withstand punishment but also provide greater handling.

There were not many customer reviews online for the  HPI 1/5 Baja 5B 2.0 RTR with 2.4 Radio because, let’s face it, this thing is not cheap so it’s not like there are thousands of people out there racing to the internet to tell everyone what they think of it.

There were a few reviews from people that run websites, blogs, magazines, etc. who put the HPI Baja 5B through its paces and all of the professionals had great things to say and gave this big, bad, buggy a lot of praise.  This thing is big, powerful, durable and fast.

The pros state that it has a very realistic feel when you’re driving the Baja 5B and even though this is by no means an inexpensive vehicle it is actually about 1/2 the cost of many 1/8 scale buggies and that takes some of the sting out of the price tag.
